Recognised for producing the best red wine in Wales robb and Nicola were delighted with their awards at this years Welsh wine competition not only did they have the best red wine but they also gained an accolade for their Pinot noir Précoce vintage 2019 for best Welsh PDO / PGI wine.
Llanerch vineyard hotel hosted the competition, three judges (two masters of wine) spent many hours before deciding the winners of Wales annual competition.
Barrel 48 has created a one off, limited release Red wine, the Regent grape variety from vintage 2020 aged in barrel 48 is unique with a total of 270 bottles.
